Penstemon ‘Lady Alice Hindley’

A quintessential cottage garden staple, Penstemon ‘Alice Hindley’ boasts mauve tubular flowers suffused with lilac and pale pink, the throats white inside. Produced all summer and well into autumn, the exquisite pastel blooms are held above attractive, glossy, spear-shaped semi-evergreen foliage. Penstemons are invaluable plants for the front of the border. These are generous perennials, putting on a non-stop performance for little work aside from dead-heading, and after their main summer flush they will often stretch themselves with subsequent blooms deep into autumn.
