Ligustrum Ovalifolium ‘Green Diamond’

An improvement on the common Ligustrum ovalifolium, ‘Green Diamond’ is a vigorous cultivar developed by Dutch breeders that is very branching, dense and compact. Evergreen to semi-evergreen in very cold winters, Ligustrum ovalifolium ‘Green Diamond’ sports lustrous, bright green foliage. It is perfect for pollution tolerant hedging, growing successfully in sun or shade. Fragrant white flowers are produced in July and August followed by shiny black berries that are appreciated by the birds, although regular trimming will inhibit flowering and fruiting.
