Prominent golden stamens crown the clear yellow petals of this St. John’s Wort. Hypericum kalmianum ‘Sunny Boulevard’ forms a rounded, well branched shrub that lends itself to the middle of borders, mingling with perennials and other low shrubs. Flowering over a long period, the blooms are succeeded by fleshy, conical fruits that extend the season of interest well into autumn. The slender foliage is semi-evergreen, bringing year-round texture and form to borders. Hypericum is dependable and easy to grow, needing little maintenance throughout the year.
