Meadowsweet is a hardy British native perennial often found growing in ditches and besides streams. Throughout summer, plumes of fluffy cream flowers sway on tall upright stems above aromatic foliage. The showy blooms are particularly attractive to butterflies and pollinating insects. Filipendula ulmaria is an excellent hardy perennial for growing in damp meadows, wildflower gardens, boggy areas and pond edges. Height: 90cm (36″). Spread: 60cm (24″). Planting depth: Zone 1 in reliably moist or boggy soil.
Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only.
