The winner of Chelsea Plant of the Year 2023 Competition, we knew this gorgeous variety was destined to be a winner! ‘Black Jack’ features silky, purplish-black buds which open to shining, deep purple flowers. Its colour oozes luxury and classic style, blending effortlessly with any palette. The open-facing, tubular flowers are held in spherical clusters, standing proudly on strong stems above semi-evergreen, strappy foliage. One of the ‘Everpanthus®’ series, ‘Black Jack’ delivers long-lasting, repeat blooming over an extended period from midsummer to autumn plus denser and more abundant flower heads than usual. This undemanding perennial is heat and drought tolerant, making it perfect for dry, sunny borders and coastal locations where it creates a bold, architectural statement and is adored by bees and butterflies.
